As the media around the globe interprets, its not true that Bollywood alone is the Indian film industry. Its one among the others, perhaps the part of it with larger audience.
There are films in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, Marathi and so on. But somehow Bollywood took center stage in the world arena.
Recently, A.R.Rahman mentioned this too in an interview to Time magazine.
Well, for people looking for films from India, once again its not bollywood alone. You have many more across India. And the fact is A.R.Rahman himself is from Chennai, the headquarters of Tamil film industry.
My bit to change the perception.
